This Sunday, August 14
ASSEMBLY: "Seeing Colors" Speaker: Erin Dajka. There are those in our society who believe that racism in the US is no longer an issue. Most of us are careful to avoid racist comments or actions, strongly standing behind the practice of treating everyone the same. We have sought to become intentionally colorblind. And yet, the disparities along racial lines continue. Is being colorblind working? Is it even a helpful concept toward ending racism in our communities and country? What do we overlook as a community and in our own lives with the goal of colorblindness?

New Exhibit on View Now
August 1 - September 4The art exhibit during the month of August is work done by Kulture Klub Collaborative, an arts program for youth experiencing homelessness housed within YouthLink in downtown Minneapolis. The pieces in this exhibit are the result of the youth working with two resident artists, a photographer and a printmaker. This is the same work exhibited at the state capitol for a week during the last legislative session. A celebration of this exhibit and work done by Kulture Klub Collaborative will be held in the Gallery immediately after the Sunday Summer Assembly on August 28.
