Upcoming Assemblies

Assemblies are held on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in the Upper Assembly Hall.

March 30
"On Becoming a Grown Up, Part One"

and

April 6
"On Becoming a Grown Up, Part Two"

Speaker: Rev. Dr. Kendyl Gibbons

We understand what it means to come to physical maturity and our culture has at least a few expectations around the meaning of emotional maturity, even though we may not ever achieve them all. Part of the point of religious community is to help us grow into the less obvious qualities of spiritual maturity, for this is what enables us to conduct our lives with dignity, grace, and meaning. What are those qualities, how do we assess them, and what does it look like when we are in the process of acquiring them?

April 13
"An Abiding Place"
Speaker: Steven Protzman, Ministerial Intern

This service will look at the fluid spectrum of human gender identity, offer some insight into the struggles of transgender individuals, and examine the Unitarian Universalist call to work toward a world where all people are affirmed for who they are.
