The 39 Steps August 12-28 Mason Street Warehouse, Saugatuck
Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece and a juicy spy novel with a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps. This riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stagecraft will delight anyone who enjoys the magic of theatre. It's a fast-paced treat packed with nonstop laughs, over 50 characters, an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers, spies, murder, and some good old-fashioned romance. A two-time Tony and Drama Desk award winner, this whodunit amounts to an evening of pure pleasure. Its Hitchcock meets hilarious!

Pull on your flip flops or tennis shoes and come experience our Young Listeners Concert at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts (400 Culver Street) Thursday, August 11, at 1:00 p.m. Designed for 'young listeners' (but enjoyed by all ages!) this special early afternoon program features The Perugino Quartet of Grand Valley State University. The event in the SCA lobby is free of charge.

This engaging concert will have young (and older!) listeners tapping their toes and bobbing their heads. The concert is presented in partnership with the Chamber Music Festival of Saugatuck.

SUMMER in the STUDIO: Libby York August 8, 8pm Saugatuck Center for the Arts
"Ms. York is jazz singer of cool composure and artful subtlety, as she demonstrates her beautiful new album, "Here with you," Nate Chinen, New York Times.
Stylish and cosmopolitan, Libby York has a sound that recalls, without any condescension or gratuitous nostalgia, the slightly word weary, been around the block ennui of post war Anita O' Day, Chris Conner, and Sarah Vaughn.
With her new album, "Sunday in New York," York provides evidence that she is ready to be considered among the foremost jazz singers on the scene today. She is obviously very much at home with a wide range of material, including two often overlooked songs out of the Sinatra canon - "All My Tomorrow's" and "In the Wee Small Hours." Recent appearances have included Philadelphia's Zanzibar Blue and The Vic in Los Angeles
