SO WHAT WILL YOU DO NEXT YEAR?

Boat of IndonesiaLike so many of us, you are probably wondering where did 2007 go? Especially for those that have travelled with us this year. The build up to the trip, the training, the anticipation. Then the overseas flight and the expedition itself followed by the inevitable post trip blues. The year will seem to have zipped by.

While you are standing around that BBQ or kitchen bench over the Christmas break, consuming amber fluid or some bubbly, have a think about what you want to do next year. Are you going to let another year slip without doing that trip of a lifetime?

And when you and your friend's defences are down, loosened by alcohol, drop the provocative "I'm thinking about climbing Kilimanjaro next year" or "I've always wanted to do Kokoda". We bet you'll hear "I was thinking about doing that too" or "When are we going do it?" Before you know it, you have a group of 10 friends heading off to Nepal, or Tanzania, or Indonesia, or PNG.

So what are you going to do next year? Will it be Kilimanjaro, Rinjani, Orangutans and Komodo Dragons, Everest or Kokoda maybe. Whatever you decide, just do something. Life is not about how many breathes you take, it's how many times you have your breath taken away.

BIG THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Jack Small2007 has been a huge year for No Roads. Our operations have expanded into Libya and Ethiopia with future expansions into South Africa.

We have also been aligned with charities such as Geelong's United Way, The Royal Childrens Hospital Foundation and the Kokoda Track Foundation. Through these we have over $30,000 to charities that help those we wish to support.

We have employed on a casual basis over 15 Australian guides and on full time basis over 250 porters and guides in PNG, Indonesia, Nepal and Africa. Their lives are being transformed by this regular work.

All this could not be achieved without YOU. we would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that came on a No Roads trip, that supported us at the Gala Charity Night and supported what we are trying to do around the world.

Have a great Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.

Sparrow Force Expedition
East Timor

Sparrow Force

In July 2008, No Roads will be taking the first ever expedition that traces the footsteps of Sparrow Force during WWII. This little known force consisting of only a few hundred men, used guerilla tactics against 30,000 Japanese. There story is amazing. There journey is extraordinary. Join us on this first ever exploration of East Timor.
