The Power of Process... Executing A Proven Sales Methodology! |
By Jim Jacobus
How many of you have heard this? You are a born sales person! You have to be in sales because you have the "gift of gab"! Or, "you could sell snow cones to Eskimos ... you are a natural"! I know they are well meaning and it is intended to be a compliment but to a real professional it is really more of an insult. It's like saying that Michael Phelps is a natural born Olympic swimmer because he liked to splash around in the pool when he was 10 years old! Yes, we have certain skill sets that may help us in our sales careers. Everyone has certain skills, talents and abilities. To take advantage of those abilities, to leverage them into a career of even a hobby and to be really good at that career or hobby we have to become intentional about how we use those skills!. | How good do you want to be? |
By Jason Jacobus
In writing these articles, I want to provoke a thought...I want to deliver ideas in a way that drives each of us to become more introspective! The neat thing is that, it also gives me an opportunity to share some personal stories along the way.
In each of our lives, we approach events that have the ability to impact us forever! In about a month I will be face-to-face with one of these moments, as I will be saying "I do" to the love of my life. To say the least, I am an incredibly lucky man! One of my friends said it best when he said, "The three of you should be very happy together! You, Her, and her seeing-eye-dog!"
Now some of you may be asking yourselves, "Is he going to sit here and tell us all about HIS life or is actually going to give us something to take home?"
The fact is, while this wedding is a once in a lifetime event, it is the result of a process I have used a number of times throughout my life.

| Sales Manager's Corner:
Why don't sales people, or anyone else for that matter, do the things they are supposed to do to be successful? The answer to that is really very simple and we will tackle it in this month's Manager's Corner training video! |

| The "How Do You Not Know The Answer To That" Question of the Month!!! |
Every month we want to tackle a difficult question submitted by one of our readers! These are tough questions so tune in as we answer the "How Did You Not Know The Answer To That" Question of the Month!
This month, Joe from St Louis asks a great question about using tools like PDA's, e-mail and even "texting" to communicate with clients. Joe wonders if these tools aren't ruining professional selling!
