Americana at Brand Parade Entry |
Christopher Street West is excited to present an interactive workshop on parade decor. The workshop will be April 23, 2011, at noon, at the LA Gay and Lesbian Center's McDonald Wright Building.
This free workshop will provide timely ideas for how to have a fabulous float for a few dollars; how to source décor at places like the 99 cents store, and other low-cost options; allowing you to create the next "it" parade entry.
The workshop will be presented by Ray Pulver.
Pulver is the owner of Upbeat Parade Productions. Pulver has over 30 years of experience, and currently is working with 11 parades in California and Nevada. Pulver has designed and constructed dozens of award winning parade floats for businesses and community organizations in Massachusetts and California.
The workshop will address design concepts, construction, decorative materials and parade day appearance.
The 2011 Parade Grant awardees will be announced at the workshop.
The workshop is free to attended, but an RSVP is required. To RSVP contact parade@lapride.org, or 323.969.8302 ext.18.
