Christopher Street West has opened the nomination process for the 2011 LA PRIDE Community Honorees. Each year a slate of Honorees are selected for their many contributions to the betterment of the greater LGBT Community. Christopher Street West seeks community support to find those most deserving of recognition.
CSW seeks individuals, groups, organizations or businesses that have positively contributed to the LGBT community in numerous ways. Past Honorees have included: CSW co-founder, Rev. Troy Perry; Legendary Community Activist, Ivy Bottini; California Assembly Speaker, John A. Perez; Transgender Trailblazer, Maria Roman; Black AIDS Institute Founder, Phill Wilson; News Anchor, Jane Velez-Mitchell; Youth Leader, Ari Ruiz; AIDS Project Los Angeles, Rabbi Denise L. Eger, LA City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, PFLAG,and the LA Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence among many others.
