LOS ANGELES (May 22, 2009) - Today, the California Supreme Court has announced that their ruling on the appeal of Proposition 8 will be available on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Christopher Street West urges the entire community to unite during this crucial moment of historic proportion.
For months, the LGBT family nation-wide has waited in anticipation to see if this blatantly discriminatory proposition will be upheld. The residual outcome will affect thousands of legal marriages, the constitutional rights of American citizens and the plight of the LGBT community seeking justice and equality. No matter what the outcome, massive participation is vital. Christopher Street West invites all of our friends and allies to join the thousands gathering in support of the Pride Movement on the Day of Decision.
