Fall is in the air. Cool mornings and warm, sunny afternoons equal the perfect opportunity to spend time outdoors. Add lots of birds and the day is outstanding! September and October are some of the best months for birding in Georgia. Hundreds of thousands of migrating
warblers,
orioles,
tanagers,
thrushes and much more are passing through each night. Grab your binoculars and favorite field guide and head out to one of our many local birding hotspots. And don't forget butterflies! Late summer and early autumn are perfect for butterfly watching, also! Monarchs and Clouded Sulphurs are migrating, several swallowtails species are plentiful and tiny skippers are busy patrolling their favorite flowers.
