"I saw these really cool birds that look like Batman! What are they?" We get this question every year...and the answer is Cedar Waxwings!
Waxwings are almost always found in flocks, sometimes numbering in the hundreds. These flocks are often seen feasting on berries but they will also visit birdbaths. Cedar Waxwings are found in Georgia from late fall through mid-spring, when they fly north to breed. Listen for their high-pitched bell-like whistles!

Camp TALON

Camp TALON is a week-long camp for teens interested in birds and nature sponsored by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, the Georgia Ornithological Society and Atlanta Audubon.
