DsO SPRING FLING

Come meet new families, reconnect with friends, and enjoy a wonderful afternoon this Sunday, May 20th! There will be activities, food and the playground.

 

Please bring a potluck dish (if possible) to share. Hot dogs and beverages will be provided. Everyone is welcome.

 

This event is sponsored by Down syndrome Outreach (DsO) and Bellingham Parks and Recreation.

EDUCATION WORKSHOP

Tomorrow (Saturday, May 19) is the "Finding Your Voice" workshop provided by The Washington State Office of Education Ombudsman. This training is for parents and family members to learn to navigate and partner with public schools so kids can succeed.

"Finding Your Voice" Workshop

"PEOPLE FIRST" TO PARTICIPATE
IN SKI TO SEA PARADE
People First of Whatcom County will be participating in the Ski to Sea Grand Parade next Saturday, May 26th at 12pm. If you would like to join the fun, contact Ken Larson, 441-0104. 

 

This Saturday, May 19th is also the People First monthly meeting. The meeting will be from 6-7pm and held at the Center for Independent Living, 114 W Magnolia Suite 106, Bellingham.

The Parent Coalition of The Arc of Whatcom County provides information and education to individuals with developmental disabilities, their caregivers, families and the community by responding to requests for assistance. We provide 1:1 support and serve as a resource to increase understanding of the developmental disability service system and special education system.
