EARLY INTERVENTION FOCUS GROUP | |
Your input is needed this Sunday!
Every three years, the Whatcom County Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC) is responsible for revising the plan on how Infant Toddler Early Intervention Services are provided in our county. To help the ICC make recommendations to improve services, they ask the parents of enrolled children (or recent graduates) to provide input about how things are working. Please participate in this unique opportunity and help to improve services for children in Whatcom County.

THE ROAD SHOW | |
The Road Show provides information on the Adult Service System for individuals with developmental disabilities, their families and educators. The adult service system can be a challenging place to navigate, and this program gives parents and families a chance to ask questions about services and the road ahead.
Topics include:
- Important dates and Tips for Transition into adult services
- Navigating the service system, eligibility and services provided through the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD)
- Short and long term employment supports through the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and Whatcom County Developmental Disabilities Program, "Building a Life" for your son or daughter after they leave school.

The Parent Coalition of The Arc of Whatcom County provides information and education to individuals with developmental disabilities, their caregivers, families and the community by responding to requests for assistance. We provide 1:1 support and serve as a resource to increase understanding of the developmental disability service system and special education system.
