LET'S TALK...
ABOUT THE BIRDS AND THE BEES
A discussion for parents and caregivers on sexuality
for individuals with developmental disabilities

Parents are the primary sexuality educators of their children.  Additionally, caregivers play an important role since they often are assisting children and adults with developmental disabilities with bathing, toileting and dressing.

Tracy Dahlstedt, Community Educator with Mount Baker Planned Parenthood, will be on hand to share strategies and tools for parents. Topics will include communicating your family's values, what information to share and when, and tips for talking with young people as well as local resources and services.

6-8:00 pm
The Arc's Dan Godwin Center
2602 McLeod Road, Bellingham

LEGISLATIVE COFFEE
An important goal of the Parent Coalition is to provide the connections and resources for families to make their voices heard. The Annual Legislative Coffee provides a relaxed environment for people to meet their legislators face-to-face and communicate their experiences in a meaningful way.

Tuesday, November 15
9:30am-12:30pm
The Arc's Dan Godwin Community Center
2602 McLeod Road, Bellingham

Prior to the coffee, there will be an informational forum and guided discussion. Whether you are knowledgeable about the legislative process or completely new, this information will be important to make the most of the Legislative Coffee. Due to limited space, you must register by Tuesday, November 8th.
