NEW FACES AT THE ARC!!!

We welcome Emily Ackerland, our new dedicated Executive Assistant/Office Manager, who brings excellent experience in non-profit communications and an open heart for people with developmental disabilities. Emily will assist our Executive Director with most aspects of organizational management and help create an efficient engaging work environment for all.

We are thrilled to attract Tami McNamara as our incredible Database consultant. Tami has been working closely with our Director since June on developing a comprehensive agency database that will allow staff to track all contacts and streamline our communication efforts. Tami has previously provided countless hours of volunteer energy to the Arc.

Welcome to Erin Dodge, a junior at WWU majoring in Music & Creative Writing. With a few hours to spare each week, Erin has stepped into the role of Design Assistant, designing our eAlerts and newsletter while updating our web page & facebook. She's only just begun!

During this time of transition, we have been blessed to consult with Maureen Godwin, former Assistant Director and woman of many hats! She has been an invaluable resource in encouraging team work, learning from history and keeping our eye on the ball. Maureen Monroe, on leave from the Board, has stepped into to shepherd several important projects such as the Calendar Distribution and working closely with our self-advocate staff. A legend in her own time, Susan Jewell has graciously consulted with Corinne on several management issues.

And last but not least, we welcome our high-spirited dedicated Executive Director Corinne Clarke. Corinne, an attorney and former non-profit leader in several Seattle organizations, brings vision, enthusiasm and organizational expertise to the Arc. Her love for Bruce Springsteen and rock 'n roll may change the face of staff meetings and future events!

WATCH OUT FOR SNOW
Baby, it's cold outside!

The National Weather Service is predicting cold weather all weekend (with highs in the upper 30's) and a 50% chance of snow between Saturday night and Monday, so stock up on hot cocoa and warm blankets!
