  • Person Care Hours Reduced

    Care Plans Amended !

    Effective July 1, 2009
The Aging and Disability Services Administration (ADSA) will reduce all In-home clients' hours

This means everyone will receive fewer personal care hours each month starting in July 2009.

The department was directed to make this reduction as a result of the 2009-2011 Operating Budget (Engrossed Substitute House Bill 1244) passed by the Legislature.

There are no appeal rights for this change through the Office of Administrative Hearings because this is a service change directed by the Legislature and applies to the entire program.

    Children's Intensive In-Home Behavioral Support

If you have a child with a developmental disability...

who's at risk of out of home placement due to the intensity of his/her behavioral challenges,

your child may be eligible for this intensive in-home program.

State wide DDD Case Resource Managers will be processing requests

Six families per month will be added to the waiver program over the next eighteen months.

Contact your DDD case resource manager to learn more !

To find your senators' and representative's phone numbers, you may use a searchable online directory or call TOLL-FREE: 1-800-562-6000 & ask for your senators' and/or representative's phone number.

Remember that telephone calls are usually taken by a staff member, not the legislator. Ask to speak with the aide who handles the issue about which you wish to comment.
