    Be Informed

    Learn about Initiative 1029

    On the ballot this November will be the "care- giver" Initiative- 1029.

    This initiative, promoted by the Service Employees International Union, will establish training requirements for long term care providers.

    Individual providers who provide care only for their own family members and people who provide care less than 20 hours per month will be exempt from the new training requirements.

    If passed the requirements will go into effect Jan. 1, 2010.
