  • Looking for a new way to pay for Assistive Technology?

Sign up NOW for a Washington Assistive Technology Foundation (WATF) matched savings account.

IDA's or Individual Development Accounts are designed to help low income families save for important assets.

Through the Assistive Technology IDA, low income individuals with disabilities who enroll and save regularly for at least six months earn $1.00 for every $1.00 saved up to $4000

The Matched Savings Accounts can be used to purchase any type of assistive technology needed for work related activities or education or training intended to lead to work

You have until June 2011 to save.
You must be 18 by the time you finish saving.
    Program is statewide!

The deadline to enroll is June 30th
    Contact us before that date!

Infant Toddler Early Intervention Program (ITEIP) Services Report

The Division of Developmental Disabilities has been directed by the Legislature to report on the ITEIP services statewide.

They are asking representatives from ITEIP stakeholder groups, school districts, counties, parents, and other interested parties to attend a community stakeholder forum to discuss the draft report findings, give advice, and help shape the final report:

Meetings (exact locations to be determined) are scheduled for:
    July 15, 2008 Spokane
    July 16, 2008 Seattle
    July 17, 2008 Vancouver

    Attendance is limited due to the size of the rooms;
however, preference will be given to groups or "teams" who wish to attend.
A team could include your local lead agency, school district staff, providers, DDD staff, and a parent.

The meetings will be held in various areas of the state for ease of travel and to have a diverse statewide perspective.

To register contact Linda Jennings at
    jennill@dshs.wa.gov or 360-725-3514
