SacredHeart

In addition to custom and catalog statuary and appointments, the studio offers vintage pieces from other churches that are renovating or consolidating.

Looking for something special? Annie Dixon
has developed a network of diocesan offices, antique dealers, and church goods brokers throughout the US and Europe.
Let her be your personal shopper for vintage items.
Recent finds include a Daprato font for a country church, and an ornate ambo for an historic renovation in the city.

Her current mission is to find a new home for the Sacred Heart statue pictured above.
It is a lovely piece at a bargain price. Please contact the studio for size, cost, and more information if interested.

Or, send along your wish list and she will search her network and notify you when options become available for your consideration.

New Life for an Old Chalice

MsgrMichael
In honor of the Year for Priests, Dixon Studio sponsored a raffle and invited all priests of the Richmond Diocese to nominate a colleague as "Priest of the Year."

When Msgr. Chester Michael's name was drawn at the annual convocation, he received a standing ovation from his fellow priests and a certificate from Dixon Studio to have his ordination chalice replated.

from Annie Dixon at Dixon Studio in Staunton, Virginia.

BeforeOrdained in 1942, Msgr. Michael and his chalice have given many years of service to the church.  When he received his replated chalice back in early December, Richmond Diocese's Priest of the Year marveled that he had "not seen it shine like that in decades!"

Faith and FormInspired & Admired

A priest, a rabbi, two architects and a studio owner are sitting around a table.

No, it's not a joke; it's the jury for the annual Faith & Form/IFRAA International Awards Program for Religious Art and Architecture.

And our own Annie Dixon was there, serving as representative of the artists' perspective.

The winning projects can be seen online at the Faith & Form website.

And, subscriptions to this wonderful quarterly magazine are available through Dixon Books
Where's Ronald?

Hey, this newsletter is all about Annie...  Where's Ronald?

It's winter; he's been hibernating in the glass paint room, trying to stay warm next to the kilns for the past few weeks, creating new stained glass windows for Holy Trinity Church in Gainesville, Virginia.
Check out the studio's photo gallery on this project, which includes windows, statues, furnishings, and a gorgeous altar rug.

And watch for an appearance of our favorite artist with the spring thaw.
