Every Morning: Hands-On Cooking Workshops
After breakfast, as a group the class participates with the teacher in planning a complete menu, then prepares it for lunch under the expert supervision of the teacher and cooking class assistants.
Wednesday Afternoon: Q&A Session
From 3:00 to 4:30 on Wednesday you get to ask your questions, on any macrobiotic topic.
Tuesday and Thursday Afternoons: Optional Exercise Classes
From 3:00 to 4:30 on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon exercise sessions are optional. Offerings may include yoga, qi-gong, Feldenkrais, or an outdoor stroll.

We may offer free yoga or movement therapy classes on some evenings.

Private sessions at an extra fee may be available. Offerings include: macrobiotic consultation, shiatsu massage, restorative massage, or Feldenkrais Functional Integration. Please check while you are here for availability.

Program Prerequisites:
To attend Way to Health PLUS some familiarity with macrobiotic
foods and preparation is required. You are eligible if you have done any one of the following:
- Previously attended a Kushi Institute program
- Previously attended other macrobiotic cooking programs
- Studied cooking privately with a macrobiotic teacher
- Attended the regular Way to Health the week prior, then go
right on to Way Health PLUS

Our Location:
Situated on 600 acres of rolling wooded hills in the heart of the beautiful Berkshire mountains of western Massachusetts, the Kushi Institute campus is an ideal location for relaxation, reflection and renewal.
We make getting here easier! If you are traveling by air you can avoid the high taxi fees from Bradley International Airport (about $200 each way!) by taking our convenient shuttle service, which is only $50 each way. The shuttle service only runs on specific days at specific times, please call for details.
