CENSUS 2010

The Census - It's That Time Again!

BE   COUNTED!

The 2010 Census is rapidly approaching.  The United States Constitution calls for the federal government to conduct a census every ten years.  The data collected will determine the number of seats each state will have in the U. S. House of Representatives.  Census data is also used to mine the allocation of federal funds for community services including school lunch programs, senior centers, and new construction projects.  Every year, the federal government distributes more than $400 billion to local, state and tribal governments based on the census data.
