The 'Man' Christ Jesus.
"For there is one God, and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be
testified in due time." (I Timothy
2:5-6).

A study of the Old Testament ministry of
Jesus reveals that there were several
theophanies (or pre- Bethlehem appearances of
Christ). The recurring Old Testament episodes
of the "angel of the Lord" is
identified with
Christ himself.
2 key passages confirm this:
(i) "The Angel which
redeemed me from all
evil, bless the lads..." (Genesis 48:16).
Notice that no regular angel has the
jurisdiction or power to redeem men; this
angel here was actually Christ!
(ii) "And the angel of
the Lord said unto
him, why asketh thou thus after my name,
seeing it is secret." (Judges
13:18).
The word 'secret' here (pala
in the Hebrew)
means incomprehensible, remarkable,
extraordinary, supernatural, or wonderful.
Remember that one of the Messianic names of
Jesus is "Wonderful." (Isaiah 9:6).
This "Angel of the Lord", or "Angel
of his
presence" (Jesus Christ) also made several
other pre- Bethlehem theophanic appearance in
the Old Testament; he appeared to:
1. Hagar (Genesis 16:7-14).
2. Abraham (Genesis 18:1;
22:11-13).
3. Jacob (Genesis 28:13; 32:24-32).
4. Moses (Exodus 3:2; 23:20).
5. Joshua (Joshua 5:13-15).
6. Gideon (Judges 6:11-24).
7. The 3 Hebrew children in the
iery
furnace (Daniel 3:25).
8. Daniel (Daniel 6:22; 7:9-14).
The man Christ Jesus had always
featured in
redemption and divine intervention processes
even as far back as the Old Testament times!

Holy Humor.

Top Ten Reasons Eve Was Created
10. God was worried that Adam
would frequently become lost in the garden
because he would not ask for directions.
9. God knew that one day Adam
would require someone to locate and hand him
the remote.
8. God knew Adam would never
go out and buy himself a new fig leaf when
his wore out and would therefore need Eve to
buy one for him.
7. God knew Adam would never
be able to make a doctor's, dentist, or
haircut appointment for himself.
6. God knew Adam would never
remember which night to put the garbage on
the curb.
5. God knew if the world was
to be populated, men would never be able to
handle the pain and discomfort of childbearing.
4. As the Keeper of the
Garden, Adam would never remember where he
left his tools.
3. Apparently, Adam needed
someone to blame his troubles on when God
caught him hiding in the garden.
2. As the Bible says, It is
not good for man to be alone!
And the #1 reason why God created Eve...
1. When God finished the
creation of Adam, He stepped back, scratched
his head, and said, "I can do better than
that!"
