Let there be Light! (III)
"In the beginning God created the
heaven and the earth. And the earth was
without form, and void; and darkness was upon
the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God
moved upon the face of the waters. And God
said, let there be light: and there was
light." (Genesis 1: 1-3).

God's message to us today is very simple, and
hopefully, very clear too: "Nothing
happens until God says something!"
"By the Word of the Lord were the
heavens made; and all the host of them by the
breath of his mouth." (Psalm 33:6).
"For he spake, and
it was done; he commanded, and it
stood fast." (Psalm 33:9).
"Let them praise the name
of the LORD; for he commanded, and they
were created." (Psalm 148:5).
"And when he had thus
spoken, he cried with a loud voice,
Lazarus come forth." (John 11:43).
Friends, it doesn't matter who may
have spoken; until God speaks, nothing gets
done! Beloved, let it be known that it is God
that has the final say in your life: The
doctors and others may have spoken, but only
God has the final say. Hallelujah!
When he said "...let there be
light..." it was not an appeal,
opinion, or suggestion. It was a word of
decree or commandment (aiteo in the Hebrew
tongue). Look at the way other translations
render it:
"God said, "I command
light to shine!"
And light started shining. " (CEV.)
"And God said: Be light made.
And light
was made." (DRB.)
"Then God said, Let light be!
And there
was light." (LITV.)
Hear this, God does not appeal to,
nor does
he negotiate with darkness; when He commands
light to shine, the light has no choice but
to shine. This is your season of light, and
the light of the glory of God will shine upon
you in Jesus' name. Amen!
