	When the Fire goes out (II). "And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings. The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out." (Leviticus 6:12- 13 - KJV.). (2) When ashes accumulate: The fire of the Spirit may also be quenched by neglecting to stir it up (II Timothy 1:6). Fire lessens in its burning and eventually goes out if it is not stirred and blown up. It might not be just enough to pray, read and hear the Word only; there will be a need to stir up ourselves to carry out Spiritual duties fervently. Notice that even if there's much wood in the fire, if it is not stirred and blown up, the dead ashes will obstruct burning! The truth remains that when the ashes of formalism, dead rituals and regimentation are allowed to remain upon the hearts of men, it causes the fire of the Spirit to go out. A lot of assemblies and individuals who started out as firebrands for the Lord have over time had their fire quietly put out as the 'ashes' of religion, constitution and doctrines of men gathered upon their wood and extinguished their fire. *"And the priest shall...take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar...and carry forth the ashes without the camp..."* (Leviticus 6:10-11). Watch out for accumulating ashes beloved! (...to be continued...)
