Known by their fruits.
"By the fruit of their lives you
must
recognize them." (Matthew 7:16 -
TCNT.. Rhm.)

Every believer who has been regenerated and
born of the Spirit of God is engrafted into
the true vine, and therefore regarded as a
branch in that vine. Fruitfulness is
compulsory for every Christian, and the
consequences of not bringing forth fruit are
very serious.
"Ye shall know them by their
fruits.
Do men
gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for
repentance: Either make the tree good, and
his fruit good or else make the tree corrupt,
and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known
by his fruit. Every branch in me that
beareth
not fruit he taketh away: and every branch
that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it
may bring forth more fruit." (Matthew
7:16;
3:8; 12:33; John 15:2).
In as much as we are born of the
Spirit of
God, we must show forth spiritual fruit. This
is the real evidence of a truly revived
spiritual life. As enumerated in Galatians
5:22-23, the fruit of the Spirit is:
1. Love: This is a
divine love
which is
strong, tender, compassionate, and devoted to
the well-being of others. The God-kind of
love is known to have nine major ingredients:
Patience, Kindness, Generousity, Humility,
Courtesy, Unselfishness, Good Temper,
Righteousness, and Sincerity (I Corinthians
13:4-7).
2. Joy: Joy is
described as an
excitement,
gladness, or delight in the Spirit over
blessings received or expected for self or
others (Acts 3:8; 13:52).
