Dr. Brown concluded his ministrations at the
on-going 40 day Fasting & Prayer program of
the Watershed and Ark of Covenant
Ministries tagged "Walking with God
in 2009."
The man of God took five teachings
and led the people in prayers each night. The
final night was a pastors' day which featured
ministers from several assembles from the
neighboring states. It was such a sweet hour
of Word and Prayer as Dr. Brown shared. In
all, God was mightily glorified and the
brethren were thoroughly edified.
Hallelujah!

IF MY PEOPLE ...
"At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight" (Matthew 11:25-26).

The Comfort of the Spirit (VI).
"But the Comforter, which is the
Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send
in my name, he shall teach you all
things, and bring all things to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto
you." (John 14:26).

Jesus told his disciples that he would give
them "...another
Comforter..." (John 14:16), thus
implying that he had acted as their Comforter
up till this point, and upon his exit to the
heaven, the Holy Ghost would now be their
Comforter here on earth.
The Comforter (parakletos),
which is the Holy
Spirit, not only dwells "with" us, but also
"in" us (John 14:17).
The abiding presence of the Holy
Spirit in the Christian's life helps to :
1. Give victory over the flesh:
"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit,
and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the
flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the
Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and
these are contrary the one to the other: so
that ye cannot do the things that ye would."
(Gal. 5:16-17).
2. Create the Christian
Character: "But the fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is
no law." (Gal. 5:22-23).
3. Help our infirmities:
"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth
our infirmities: for we know not what we
should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit
itself maketh intercession for us with
groanings which cannot be uttered." (Rom.
8:26).
4. Inspire Prayer: "
Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and
supplication for all saints." (Eph. 6;18).
5. Give conscious access to
God: " For through him we both have
access by one Spirit unto the
Father." (Eph. 2:18).
6. Actualize the Christian's
sonship: "And because ye are sons,
God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son
into your hearts, crying, Abba,
Father." (Gal. 4:6).
7. Reveal Christ: "He shall
glorify me: for he shall receive of mine,
and shall shew it unto you." (John
16:14).
NO MAN CAN HAVE HIS INFIRMITIES
HELPED, EXERCISE VICTORY OVER THE FLESH, PRAY
AND MANIFEST THE CHRISTIAN CHARACTER EXCEPT
BY THE HELP OF THE HOLY GHOST. NEITHER CAN HE
HAVE FULL ACCESS TO GOD, GET A FULL
REVELATION OF WHO CHRIST IS, OR REACH THE
PEAK OF CHRISTIAN SONSHIP WITHOUT THE STRENGTH OF
THE SPIRIT!
