Dr. Brown concluded his ministrations at the
on-going 40 day Fasting & Prayer program of
the Watershed and Ark of Covenant
Ministries tagged "Walking with God
in 2009."
The man of God took five teachings
and led the people in prayers each night. The
final night was a pastors' day which featured
ministers from several assembles from the
neighboring states. It was such a sweet hour
of Word and Prayer as Dr. Brown shared. In
all, God was mightily glorified and the
brethren were thoroughly edified.
Hallelujah!

|
The Comfort of the Spirit (V).
"But the Comforter, which is the
Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send
in my name, he shall teach you all
things, and bring all things to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto
you." (John 14:26).
The 'Comforter' that Jesus promised is the
Holy Ghost (John 14:26; 15:26).
As our
Comforter (parakletos in the Greek),
He counsels, helps, consoles, intercedes,
advocates, strengthens, and stands by the
child of God.
The Holy Spirit is the believer's
indwelling paraclete on earth, while
Christ is our paraclete or advocate in
heaven.
"Likewise the Spirit also
helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what
we should pray for as we ought: but the
Spirit itself maketh intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered."
(Romans 8:26).
"Wherefore he is able also to
save them to the uttermost that come unto God
by him, seeing he ever liveth to make
intercession for them." (Hebrews
7:25).
What a privilege to have two
paracletes: one interceding from
within us here on earth, the other
interceding for us in the heavens. Glory to God!

Holy Humor.
A minister is driving around Wadsworth, Ohio
and he sees a sign in front of a house:
"Talking Dog For Sale." He rings the bell and
the owner tells him the dog is in the backyard.
The minister goes into the backyard
and sees a Labrador retriever sitting there.
"You talk?" he asks.
"Yep," the Lab replies.
"So, what's your story?"
The Lab looks up and says, "Well, I
discovered that I could talk when I was
pretty young. I wanted to help the
government, so I told the CIA about my gift,
and in no time at all they had me jetting
from country to country, sitting in rooms
with spies and world leaders, because no one
figured a dog would be eavesdropping. I was
one of their most valuable spies for eight
years running."
"But the jetting around really tired
me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any
younger so I decided to settle down. I signed
up for a job at the airport to do some
undercover security wandering near suspicious
characters and listening in. I uncovered some
incredible dealings and was awarded a batch
of medals. I got married, had a mess of
puppies, and now I'm just retired."
The man of God is amazed. He goes
back in and asks the owner what he wants for
the dog.
"Ten dollars," the guy says.
"Ten dollars? This dog is amazing.
Why on earth are you selling him so cheaply?"
"Because he's lying, he never did any
of that stuff."
