2009, Year of the Holy Ghost.
Next, we ought to note that there is a
certain mystery about numbers in the
Scriptures: 1 is the number of Unity; 2 is
the number of separation or division; 3 is
the number of resurrection; 4 is the number
of the flesh, or man in the fallen state; 5
is the number of grace; 6 is the number of
Satan and his works, 7 is the number of
perfection or completion; 8 is the number of
new beginnings; where as, 9 is the number of
the Spirit!
Against this backdrop, I daresay by the
signal of the Spirit that the year 2009 is
going to be the year of the Holy Ghost. I see
a situation where more than ever before, we
are going to experience the moves of the
Spirit of God in unprecedented dimensions all
over the world both within, and without the
body of Christ. For as many as understand
biblical principles and precepts, and as many
as are able to key into purposes of God, they
will experience the fullness of the of the
power and ministry of the Spirit as our
Paraclete (or Helper). More than ever before,
there is going to be an outpouring and
overflowing of spiritual gifts and fruits
Observe that there are 9 gifts and 9 fruits
of the Spirit (see I Cor. 12:1-2; Gal. 5:22).
The year 2009 will be characterized
by the
Holy Ghost soothing, refreshing, consoling,
supporting, encouraging, strengthening,
helping, counseling, standing by, bracing up,
and advocating for many believers. We are
going to see an outpouring of the Spirit of
grace and supplications, and an
intensification of prayers across the body of
Christ as the Spirit moves. Many who have
been stagnant with respect to spiritual
growth and maturity will come into full bloom
by the help of the Holy Ghost. We are also
going to see an explosion of revelation
knowledge as the Spirit begins to grant the
church more depth and insight into aspects of
the kingdom that were not so clear before
now. Hallelujah!
By reason of the waves of the Spirit,
we are
going to experience miraculous healings in
several places; the likes of which we have
not seen before since the days of the
apostles! The yokes of infirmities,
frailties, weaknesses, shortcomings and human
inadequacies will all be dealt with by the
power of the Holy Ghost. Many who have been
waiting to healed or delivered from one
disease or disability will receive a divine
touch in this season by reason of the
'troubling of the waters.' There's going to
be a release of uncommon wisdom for business,
ministry, governance and academics. Many
ministers will experience an explosion of the
anointing of the Holy Ghost upon their lives
and ministries as they allow themselves to be
borne on the wings of the Spirit this awesome
year. Several will be ushered to the next
higher level in glory, and begin to walk in
dimensions of the anointing they have never
seen, known or dreamt of before!
While all of this is happening, I
also see a
situation where the 'Ananiases' and
'Sapphiras' will be judged by the Holy Ghost
himself. The Spirit of the living God,
working as our 'Methuselah' will hold back
and constrain several demonic onslaughts
targeted against the saints.
Watch out beloved, this is the year
of the Spirit!
