Here's two great wines our wine manager, Gordon has reviewed for you;
Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel 2007, a wine rich in dark berry fruit and chocolate with vanilla oak nuances. Made from 80 to 100 year old vines, the wine produced has substantial character and finesse. Pair with spicy dishes, grilled portabello mushrooms, steaks and pasta dishes with red or white sauces. Around $20.
Dolceoro Moscato D'Asti 2008, a festive holiday wine with a touch of sparkle and sweet ripe fruit of peaches, melon and pear, made in the D'Asti region of Piedmont Italy this crisp and refreshing style will make a great celebratory wine for toasting or having with fresh fruit and cheese. Baileys Irish cream Chocolatini
· Ice
· 1.75oz of Baileys Irish Cream
· 1/3oz Vodka
· 1/4oz of chocolate liqueur
Drop several ice cubes into a shaker Pour over Baileys Irish cream,
Vodka and chocolate liqueur Shake together. Strain drink into a chilled Martini glass
Indulge!
Tips:
Garnish your Martini with chocolate shavings or chocolate
flake. If you don't have chocolate then try a sprinkling of cocoa
powder or hot chocolate powder. |
