Return your rentals: Last day to return fall rental books and avoid penalties is Monday, December 19 at 6 p.m. The bookstore will close at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 19.

 

December store hours: Monday through Thursday - 7:45 a.m.-7 p.m.; Friday 7:45 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, December 19 we will close at 6 p.m. and Tuesday, December 20 we will close at 3 p.m. The store will be closed for winter break December 21-January 2, 2012. January 3-13, 2012 hours will be 7:45 a.m.-3 p.m.

Participation forms are due no later than noon Wednesday, January 4, 2012! No late forms will be accepted.

It's not too late to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.fafsa.gov or turn in paperwork for those of you that have already completed the FAFSA. Please schedule an appointment with a Financial Aid Coordinator if you are submitting paperwork by calling 925-685-1230 ext. 3000. If you have general financial aid questions, please check in at the Welcome/Information Center for a drop-in visit Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. or Tuesday, from 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

DVC Scholarship program

Scholarship deadline is February 2, 2012 at noon.

Each application must include two letters of recommendation to be considered. One application can qualify for multiple scholarships. Thousands of dollars are available for DVC students who are new, continuing, or transferring to a four-year college or university in fall 2012 through the Scholarship Program. Stop by the DVC Scholarship Office in the Student Services Center for other scholarship opportunities.

Get involved! Join the Associated Students of DVC (ASDVC). Petitions to join the student government are available beginning January 24 and are due February 10 at noon in the Student Life Office. Interested students must attend an ASDVC Info Session. For dates and times and more information, go to www.asdvc.org or email ASDVCParliamentarian@dvc.edu.

 


Student Activity Fee

The new voluntary $5 Student Activity Fee allows ASDVC (student government) to provide funding for student-related activities and services. Refund forms and instructions are available online, www.dvc.edu/SAFrefund, Pleasant Hill Campus Cashier's Office, Student Life Office, Welcome/Information Center, and San Ramon Campus Admissions and Records Office.

DVC addendum 2011-12
New program certificates and degrees
DVC has added program certificates and/or degrees in computer science, geology, math, psychology, sociology and speech. Check out the 2011-2012 catalog addendum online for details.
California State regulations have changed regarding the ability to repeat non-repeatable credit courses.
