Now through December 1 | AA/AS degree or certificate filing period | November 18 | Last day to withdraw from full-term classes with a "W" appearing on transcript. | November 24-27 | Holiday - Thanksgiving - college closed. California State regulations have changed regarding the ability to repeat non-repeatable credit courses.
If you are thinking of dropping or withdrawing from a class that you have already unsuccessfully attempted in a prior semester, you need to read this! www.dvc.edu/CourseRepeats

Reminder: Fall 2011 is the last semester telephone registration is available. The last day to use telephone registration is November 18.

Counseling services
Just a reminder that if you are having difficulty booking a counseling appointment at the Pleasant Hill campus, please check counseling availability at the San Ramon campus. We will continue to do our best to serve you.

Financial Aid
Students who have completed the FAFSA application, check the Portal/WebAdvisor for directions on how to complete your financial aid file to be awarded. If the Missing Information Letter is blank, please go to the Welcome/Information Center and see our Financial Aid Drop-In Coordinator for additional information.
For students who have not completed the FAFSA it is not too late! Visit the application website at www.fafsa.gov to complete the 2011-2012 free application for financial aid.

Scholarship programThe DVC Scholarship application period closes February 2, 2012 at noon. DVC scholarships for fall 2012 are available to new, continuing, or transferring students. A single application with two letters of recommendation can qualify you for multiple scholarships.
Visit the DVC Scholarship Office located in the Students Service Building for other scholarship opportunities.

English and Art DepartmentsAnnouncing the second annual O'Keefe Prize for Graphic Literature, a contest highlighting the best in comics art and writing. Open to all currently enrolled DVC students. For submission guidelines, judging considerations and information go to www.dvc.edu/OKeefePrize. Draft deadline is November 21 and 22.

Student Life OfficeStudent Activity Fee The new voluntary $5 Student Activity Fee allows ASDVC (student government) to provide funding for student-related activities and services. Refund forms and process are available online, www.dvc.edu/SAFrefund, Pleasant Hill Campus Cashier's Office, Student Life Office, and Welcome/Information Center, and San Ramon Campus Admissions and Records Office.

Free E-Waste recycling event at both Diablo Valley College campuses. Drop off items Saturday, December 3, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in Pleasant Hill (DVC Overflow Parking Lot #7) or San Ramon (back parking lot). Visit www.noewaste.com for more information and list of accepted electronic items.

First move to a safe location and then immediately contact Campus Police at: ext. 2333 from a campus phone, or 925-680-7000 from your cell phone. (Calling 911 from a cell phone will result in an unnecessary delay.)
