Important admission and registration dates

Now through January 21 - Open/walk-in registration for all students

January 22 - Spring classes begin

January 22-February 4 - Late enrollment - space available basis

January 24-March 31 - AA/AS degree or certificate filing period

February 4 - Last day to add a full-term class; last day to drop a full-term class and be eligible for a refund of fees

February 17 - Last day to drop a full-term class without a "W" appearing on transcript, last day to request P/NP option for a full-term class

DVC Scholarship Scholarship program
DVC Scholarship deadline is Feb. 2, 2011 at 12 noon.

Each application must include two letters of recommendation to be considered. One application can qualify for multiple scholarships. Thousands of dollars are available for DVC students who are new, continuing, or transferring to a four-year college or university in fall 2011 through the DVC Scholarship Program. Stop by the DVC Scholarship Office in the Student Services Center for other scholarship opportunities.

Whistling Vivaldi Project Whistling Vivaldi Project
Let's engage in a courageous conversation about stereotypes and how they affect our work with each other - as teachers, staff, managers and students. Copies of Whistling Vivaldi and Other Clues to How Stereotypes Affect Us by Claude M. Steele are available in Staff Development, AB 217, to those who will commit to attend at least three related events listed on www.dvc.edu/whistlingvivaldi

Margaret Lesher Student Union Student Life Office
Located in the Margaret Lesher Student Union Building, the Student Life Office houses the Dean of Student Life, Student Life Manager, and the Student Activities Coordinator, along with other support staff. The friendly staff provide resources, services and support to students and student organizations.

Educational Talent Search Program Educational Talent Search Program
The Educational Talent Search Program at DVC seeks volunteer tutors and Teacher Assistants (TA) for spring and summer 2011.

Volunteer tutors and TAs are needed to work with local middle and high school students. Students interested in being a volunteer tutor or TA should contact Jackie Castellano at [email protected].
