2010 Graduation Ceremony

April
30-May 28, 2010- Application to walk in graduation ceremony with coursework remaining May
17-28, 2010- Student cap and gown sales at DVC Book Center. May
28, 2010, 7 p.m.- Graduation ceremony in the stadium (weather permitting). The
commencement ceremony and celebration is open to students who earned a degree
or certificate for summer or fall 2009, or spring 2010. Students who have
applied for and who have met the requirements for a degree or certificate should have been sent detailed information about graduation in early May. Additional graduation information (pdf) for easy reference.

Financial Aid
|
Summer hours Due to budget cuts and staffing, the Financial Aid Office
will have the following hours for the summer:

In addition, to accommodate for the start of the summer,
the Financial Aid Office will be open the first two Thursdays, June 3 and
June 10. Please plan accordingly.
Accelerated Pell The Pell Grant is now available year round for those
students who meet specific criteria to qualify for the award. For more
information and to see if you qualify please come to the Financial Aid Office.
Deadline date for fall 2010 To ensure the process of financial aid files, including
appeals, students will be required to complete and submit ALL necessary documents
to the Financial Aid Office no later than Monday, October 4, 2010 to receive
payments by the end of the fall 2010 semester. Documents received after this
date will be processed for retroactive payment, if eligible, in the spring 2011
semester.

IGETC requirements and take a few literature courses, and you are on your

Campus Alert System
|
Your attention please...
A loud siren will be heard throughout the DVC campuses the first Wednesday of every month at 11 a.m. This will be a test of our Campus Alert System. There is nothing you need to do during a siren test.
In the event of an actual emergency or crisis situation, the siren sound will
continue for three minutes. Students and all campus personnel will be instructed
to Shelter, Shut, and Listen.

Police Services
| Summer Parking Permits will be
available beginning May 24, 2010 on WebAdvisor. This will be the only way to
purchase semester permits. Summer session is still $20, the fall
semester will be $40. There will be
signage at the campuses and instructions on the web. The parking grace
period for summer is from June 14 to June 20, 2010. Enforcement begins on June 20, 2010. This is the only grace period for
summer.
Effective June 1, 2010 the
daily permit will be increased to $3.
