Spring 2010 Graduation Ceremony
DVC Graduation


April 30-May 28, 2010- Application to walk in graduation ceremony with coursework remaining
 
May 17-28, 2010- Student cap and gown sales at DVC Book Center.  Graduation letter sent in early May will include details.
 
May 28, 2010, 7 p.m.- Graduation ceremony in the stadium (weather permitting)
The commencement ceremony and celebration are open to students who earned a degree or certificate for summer or fall 2009, or spring 2010. Students who have applied for and who have met the requirements for a degree or certificate will be sent detailed information about graduation in early May.  Additional graduation information (pdf) for easy reference.

You will be entered in a drawing for $25 DVC Book Center gift cards!  There will be 12 winners each day!

The survey will run for eight days beginning today through May 5.  We want to find out more about DVC student HEALTH needs.  Your responses will be completely confidential.  You'll need to answer ALL the questions in order to be eligible for the drawing for DVC Book Center gift cards.

Counseling Center
D V C Counseling CenterScheduling spring 2010 counseling appointments:
The Counseling Center has a program (E-SARS) that allows DVC college students to schedule appointments through the counseling website. Students will be asked for their DVC Student ID # and their birth date.

Students may schedule appointments using this program if they are 18 years+, and have not attended any other college or university.  Note:  Spring appointments are going fast, so schedule your appointment as soon as possible.

Students who need a one hour appointment or students who need a special form filled out must call or stop by the Counseling Center 925-685-1230 ext. 2276 or 2278.

Scheduling summer 2010 counseling appointments:
We will have limited summer counseling appointments in June.  These appointments are for college students enrolled in DVC summer classes.  Students may begin to schedule these appointments during the last week of May.


Experience UC Berkeley through the UCB-DVC Concurrent Enrollment Program.UC Berkeley-DVC Concurrent Enrollment

DVC students are able to take a total of two lower division courses on the  Berkeley campus through the Concurrent Enrollment Program. To obtain more information and to file an application for participation for the fall 2010 semester, students must attend a one of the Concurrent Enrollment workshops that are being held in May 2010.

Educational Talent Search Program

T R I O logoThe Educational Talent Search Program at DVC seeks volunteer tutors and Teacher Assistants for spring and summer 2010.

Smoking policy reminder
Reminder: the DVC campus is smoke-free.   Smoking is permitted in the parking lots only.  DVC's smoking policy
Campus Alert System
$20tuition Your attention please...

A loud siren will be heard throughout the DVC campuses the first Wednesday of every month at 11 a.m.  This will be a test of our Campus Alert System.  There is nothing you need to do during a siren test.

In the event of an actual emergency or crisis situation, the siren sound will continue for three minutes. Students and all campus personnel will be instructed to Shelter, Shut, and Listen.

Summer Parking Permits will be available online beginning May 10, 2010.  This will be the only way to purchase semester permits.  Summer session is still $20.00, the fall semester will be $40.00.  The increase takes effect.  There will be signage at the campuses and instructions on the web.
 
The Parking Grace period for summer is from June 14 to June 20, 2010. Enforcement begins on June 20, 2010.  This is the only grace period for summer. 
 
Effective June 1, 2010 the daily permit will be increased to $3.00.
