We understand how frustrated you must feel if you can't get the
class(es) you need. We want to offer enough classes to meet the demand,
but the state will not provide the funding we need. Please understand
how frustrating it is for us to be forced to limit our offerings at a

Now through January 21 - In person registration
Now through March 31 - A.A./A.S. degree or certificate filing period
January 22 - Spring 2010 instruction begins
January 23-24 - Spring 2010 Saturday/Sunday classes begin
February 4 - Last day to add a full-term course; Last day to drop a full-term course and be eligible for a refund of fees

Scholarship Office
|
DVC Scholarship deadline is February 2 at 12 noon.
Thousands of dollars
are available for DVC students who are new, continuing, or
transferring to a four-year college or university in fall 2010 through the DVC Scholarship Program. Each application must include two letters of recommendation to be considered. One application can qualify for multiple scholarships. Stop by the DVC Scholarship office in the Student Services Center for other
scholarship opportunities.

Drop by the Transfer Center to find out how you can
finish the degree you've started at DVC.
The Transfer Center offers friendly
expert advice, instructions on college searches, information on transferable courses,
and extensive resources on U.S. colleges. We are located in the
Counseling Center, open daily at 9 a.m. We close Monday
and Thursday at 5 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday at 7 p.m., and Friday at 3 p.m.

Educational Talent Search Program

The Educational Talent Search Program at DVC
seeks volunteer tutors and Teacher Assistants for spring and
summer 2010.
Volunteer tutors and Teacher Assistants (TA) are needed to
work with local middle and high school students. Students interested in being a volunteer tutor or TA should

Campus Alert System
|
Your attention please...
A loud siren will be heard throughout the DVC campuses the first Wednesday of every month at 11 a.m. This will be a test of our Campus Alert System. There is nothing you need to do during a siren test.
In the event of an actual emergency or crisis situation, the siren sound will
continue for three minutes. Students and all campus personnel will be instructed
to Shelter, Shut, and Listen.
