Bus Detours in Downtown Tampa

The bus detours listed below are currently in effect until mid-January. This is not a complete list of all HART detours currently in effect, and only represents those in effect due to the Platt Street Bridge Construction Project and related traffic congestion. Some detours are only in effect on specific days and times. Buses are being rerouted to AVOID described segments of the following routes:

• Route 4: Eastbound on Channelside Drive, between Davis Island Boulevard (also Plant Avenue) and Jefferson Street.
  • This detour only impacts trips going towards downtown Tampa; southbound trips to Palma Ceia/MacDill are not on detour.
  • The detour impacts the following bus stops: 2307, 2308 and 7751
• Route 14: Southbound on Ashley Drive, between Kennedy Boulevard and Whiting Street; eastbound on Whiting Street, between Ashley Drive and Marion Transit Parkway; and northbound on Marion Transit Parkway, between Whiting Street and Cass Street.
  • This detour only impacts trips going towards downtown; northbound trips towards Yukon Transfer Center are not on detour.
  • This detour is only in effect weekdays during rush hour, 6 - 9 a.m. and 4 - 7 p.m.
  • This detour impacts the following bus stops: 7370, 7736, 7719, stops along Marion Transit Parkway (northbound only), between Whiting Street and Cass Street
• Route 19: Eastbound on Channelside Drive, between Davis Island Boulevard (also Plant Avenue) and Jefferson Street.
  • This detour only impacts trips going towards downtown Tampa; southbound trips to Port Tampa are not on detour.
  • This detour impacts the following bus stops: 2307, 2308 and 7751
• Route 30: Eastbound on Kennedy Boulevard, between Willow Avenue and Ashley Drive; southbound on Ashley Drive between Kennedy Boulevard and Whiting Street; eastbound on Whiting Street between Ashley Drive and Marion Transit Parkway; and northbound on Marion Transit Parkway, between Whiting Street and Tyler Street.
  • This detour is in only effect for trips going towards downtown Tampa; westbound trips towards Northwest Transfer Center are not on detour.
  • This detour is only in effect weekdays during rush hour, 6 a.m. - 9 a.m. and 4 - 7 p.m.
  • This detour impacts the following bus stops: 1895, 1896, 1897, 1898, 1899, 4959, 3380, 7370, 7736, 7719, stops along Marion Transit Parkway (northbound only)

 These routes will instead use the following streets:

• Route 4: Lee Roy Selmon Expressway, between Davis Island Boulevard (also Plant Avenue) and Jefferson Street
• Route 14: From Eastbound on Kennedy Boulevard, north on Ashley Drive, then east on Cass Street, then north on Marion Transit Parkway until the bus arrives at Marion Transit Center.
• Route 19: Lee Roy Selmon Expressway, between Davis Island Boulevard (Also Plant Avenue) and Jefferson Street 
• Route 30: From Eastbound on Kennedy Boulevard, north on Willow Avenue, then east on Cass Street, then left on Morgan Street.
