HART bus ridership for October 2011 is 1,215,710, which is a 5.2 percent increase compared to the same month last year.

In addition, November is HARTPlus Passenger Appreciation Month, which means HART will provide free rides on all local bus routes and flex routes for customers who show their HARTPlus identification.

"Many of our paratransit customers are limited from the local bus route system because of accessibility, such as a lack of sidewalks. If they can take paratransit to access local routes, this will save them time and money," said Katharine Eagan, HART Chief Operating Officer. "With service changes in effect this month, now is a great time to become familiar with the local bus route system."
