Effective Sunday, July 10, HART will make modifications to bus schedules for Routes 4, 6, 16, 19, 31, 36, 46, 87, 88, 89, 20X, 23X, 27LX, 35LX, 53LX, 59LX and 61LX. Routes 2, 9 and 12 will have a small routing change on Marion Street due to construction in downtown Tampa. Beginning Monday, July 11, HART will introduce three new flex zones in the areas of Northdale, South Tampa and Town 'N Country, providing residents of these communities with a less expensive and more flexible transit option. In addition, HART will expand the flex zone in South County. Flex zones in South County and Brandon were opened in April 2010
HARTFlex is door-to-door service available to all residents for only 85 cents per trip. It's that easy! Customers may make a reservation to be picked up at home and dropped off at the grocery store, doctor's office or a friend's home, as long as Point A and Point B are located within the same flex zone.
There are two convenient ways to use flex service:
- Reservations for door-to-door service: To make a one-trip or round-trip reservation, call 813-449-4555 at least two hours to three days in advance of being picked up. Sites for pick-up and drop-off should be located anywhere within the designated flex zone.
- Walk-up service: Customers may walk up to a designated HART bus stop marked by a flex decal to wait for the flex van. The driver will make drop-offs at any other designated HART stop along the flex route.
Flex is 85 cents per trip, and this is the same price for adults, seniors, persons with disabilities and youth. A 1-Day Unlimited Ride farecard is sold on the flex van for $1.85. HART 1-Day and 31-Day Unlimited Ride farecards are accepted for HARTFlex.
