Seniors, do you have HART?

HART knows today's older Americans have lots of HART, but just how much?

Let HART know by Sunday, April 24!

That's why HART is asking for videos, pictures, poems or essays that depict the important role that public transportation plays in an older American's life. Entries should be submitted under one of the four categories listed below and can be about an individual older American, about a group of older Americans or even a bus driver who has played an integral role in the life of an older American. Categories:

  • Necessities:  Does HART connect you to important places and people? Medical appointments, family, places of workship, etc.
  • Entertainment:  Does HART keep you on the go? Senior centers, movies, dining, libraries, etc.
  • Shopping:  Tell HART your story about connecting to grocery stores, malls, and other popular spots.
  • Recognitions:  Are you a HART rider who has been recognized as a leader in the community? Volunteers, veterans, etc.

Video entries should be no more than 2 minutes and essays should be 200-250 words.

One entry from each category will be selected to be featured by HART throughout May, which is celebrated nationally as Older Americans Month. Selected entries will be featured on the HART Web site, HART buses, newsletters and more.

Entries may be emailed to adinfo@goHART.org by April 24. Entries should be received by April 24 at the following address:
