Effective Sunday, March 20, HART will adjust the following routes and schedules:
- Route 1 - Florida Avenue
Last southbound trip will end at Highland Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and not proceed to Marion Transit Center. Minor changes to weekday and weekend times.
- Route 2 - Nebraska Avenue
Last southbound trip will end at Nebraska Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and not proceed to Marion Transit Center. Northbound and southbound trips on weekdays will be revised from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Minor changes to weekday and weekend times.
- Route 4 - Palma Ceia/MacDill Air Force Base
Schedule time point northbound and southbound at MacDill Avenue and Gandy Boulevard is removed from the schedule. Route will continue to serve the stops at that location.
- Route 5 - 40th Street
Route will no longer directly serve the University of South Florida Administration Building. Route will turn into or off of Alumni Drive at Leroy Collins Boulevard.
- Route 6 - 56th Street
Last southbound trip will end at the HART Operations Facility and not proceed to Marion Transit Center.
- Route 8 - Progress Village/Brandon
Route will serve 78th Street and Causeway Boulevard on street instead of pulling into the shopping center. Therefore, the schedule time point is moved to street
side stop instead of the shopping center.
- Route 12 - 22nd Street
Last southbound trip will end at 22nd Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard and not proceed to Marion Transit Center.
- Route 15 - Columbus Drive
The 8:40 a.m. westbound trip is eliminated.
- Route 16 - Waters Avenue
Schedule time point eastbound and westbound at Hillsborough Avenue and Memorial Highway is removed from the schedule. Route will continue to serve the stops at that location.
- Route 18 - 30th Street
Last southbound trip will end at 29th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and not proceed to Marion Transit Center.
- Route 30 - Town 'N Country/Airport
Schedule time point eastbound and westbound at Memorial Highway and George Road is removed from the schedule. Route will continue to serve the stops at that location.
- Route 31 - South Hillsborough County
Route will no longer enter Riverview Oaks Shopping Center but will serve the location from street side stops. The schedule time point northbound and southbound at Riverview Oaks is eliminated. A new schedule time point is established at the Gibsonton Road Wal-Mart.
- Route 34 - Hillsborough Avenue
Schedule time point eastbound and westbound at Hillsborough Avenue and Memorial Highway is removed from the schedule. Route will continue to serve the stop at that location. Schedule time point eastbound and westbound at Hillsborough Avenue and 40th Street is removed from the schedule. Route will continue to serve the stop at that location.
- Route 36 - Dale Mabry Highway/Himes Avenue
First southbound trip weekdays will leave Britton Plaza 5 minutes earlier.
- Route 46 - Davis Islands/West Brandon
Route will serve 78th Street and Causeway Boulevard on street instead of pulling into the shopping center. Therefore, the schedule time point moved to street side stop instead of shopping center.
These minor service changes were made for cost-effectiveness, to streamline route schedules and adjust to ridership trends. These new route schedules are available at www.goHART.org, on board buses, at HART customers service centers or by mail. For more information, call 813-254-HART (4278).
