TAMPA, FL - Another HART record bites the dust! For the first time in this transit organization's history, HART has achieved five straight months of over one million in bus ridership.
The July ridership numbers are in, and 1,025,657 riders used HART buses to get around Hillsborough County in July.
"Our ridership numbers continue to show Hillsborough County's support for public transportation," said HART CEO David Armijo. "To achieve this record when the economy is slow, shows more and more people are choosing public transit over cars."
HART is on track for over 12 million in annual bus ridership, which would also be a record for the agency. For more information about HART or the Rapid Transit Investment Plan, visit our website at www.goHART.org.
