TAMPA, Fla. - First it was Facebook. Then came Twitter, YouTube and Foursquare. Now,
HART has completed its entry into the world of social media with a new blog
called "In Transit."
Recently launched, HART's "In Transit" blog is a new tool in the agency's
overall communication strategy. The blog will feature discussion of
transportation news, issues and events, and highlight HART services. HART has seen good returns on its investment in social media. HART's Facebook page has grown to over 600 friends in under a year, and
averages almost 2,000 page views a month. The @goHART Twitter account also has quite the audience with over 250 followers in just 5 months. However, the underlying success between the two sites is in the discussion.
"Keeping in touch with our customers isn't always easy for an agency this
size," said HART CEO David Armijo. "Using tools like Facebook, Twitter, and now
our new blog enables HART to have an ongoing conversation about what's happening
in transit."
"In Transit" is hosted on Google's Blogger site. You can find it at http://gohart.blogspot.com/, or use the
link from HART's homepage, www.goHART.org.
