COLORADO PREMIERES OF JEFFREY NYTCH'S COMPOSITIONS
ON FACULTY TUESDAY SERIES   

On Tuesday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. College of Music faculty and guests will come together to perform compositions by Jeffrey Nytch for voice, chamber ensemble and spoken word. Performers include special guest artist Lindsey Goodman (flute), CU alums Kara Guggenmos (voice) and Aaron Bagby (percussion), with CU faculty members Christina Jennings, Daniel Silver, Alexandra Nguyen, Lina Bahn, Judith Glyde, Andrew Cooperstock, David Korevaar, Gary Lewis, and Allan McMurray. Visual projections and lighting effects will create nocturnal atmosphere to enhance the music.

Biographies
Jeffrey Nytch

       

Hailed by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as "Jeffrey Nytchboth impressive and satisfying," Nytch's music comprises a wide range of works that have been performed at venues throughout the United States and Europe, including Lincoln Center, the Soho Arts Festival, The Festival at Sandpoint, the Luzerne Chamber Music Festival, the Marktoberdorf International Chamber Choir Competition, and the Breckenridge Music Festival. His compositions have been performed by such artists as Richard Stoltzman (clarinet), Ann Labounsky (organ), the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, the Ahn Trio, the National Repertory Orchestra, the New York Chamber Symphony, the Seattle Symphony, the Binghamton Philharmonic, and the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. During his tenure with The Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, Nytch partnered with Artistic Director Kevin Noe to introduce an innovative new approach to presenting contemporary chamber music, incorporating movement, theatrical lighting,
spoken word, video, and costumes to create a
unique "theater of music."
