GRADUATE STUDENT COMPETITION FINALS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
The CU-Boulder College of Music presents a gala public concert for the finals of the Bruce Ekstrand Memorial Graduate Student Performance Competition Thursday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Grusin Music Hall. Honoring former vice chancellor Bruce Ekstrand, five candidates have been selected for the final concert where first prize is a $2,000 professional development grant. The competition will be judged by Kyle MacMillan, columnist for the Denver Post; Steven Taylor, Dean of the School of Music at Colorado Christian University; and Cynthia Katsarelis, Music Director and Conductor of Pro Musica Colorado Chamber Orchestra.
