FACULTY TUESDAY SERIES PRESENTS BRAD GOODE, TRUMPET
On Tuesday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m. in Grusin Music Hall, Brad Goode will present a series of original compositions based in his own Polytonal System of Harmony in an electric funk/rock format. Called the "Lyrical Genius of the Trumpet" by the Chicago Tribune, Goode attempts to combine his diverse influences and experiences into a style that embraces them all. Biography Brad Goode
SteepleChase recording artist Brad Goode received his BM degree from the University of Kentucky in 1985, studying with renowned trumpeter Vincent DiMartino and his MM degree from DePaul University in 1987, where he studied double bass with Larry Gray. Brad led his own combo from 1986 until 1998, appearing at major festivals and nightclubs around the world, including a twelve year weekly stint at the famous Green Mill jazz club in Chicago. He was named one of the most influential Chicagoans of the 1980s by the Chicago Tribune, who credited him as a "major catalyst in the revitalization of the Chicago jazz scene."
