Summer is shaping up to be a wonderful time for Hilary Scott and The New County Line! I am so excited to be getting back to the publishing project I started with Matthew Wilder in Nashville several years ago, as it has led to some great opportunities, including a showcase this week in Nashville's first (and one of its best) studios: Castle. One of the songwriters I collaborated with on these songs - John Goodwin - wrote much of the Crazy Heart soundtrack, which is exciting. These songs range from Spanish/English dance (yes, really!) to movie soundtrack-esque ballads. Even though the genres are different for me, I am looking forward to performing them live with The New County Line. The band is heading to Nashville with me this week and we can't wait for the corporate sponsor showcase - and to fill you all in on what ensues! So please...stay tuned!
