 Rejoice With Us It has not even been a month since the last vision-casting week and Team Dominican Republic has some great news to rejoice about. When the cup runs over, sometimes you just have to tell someone about it!
During part of May and June, the team hosted vision-casting weeks in Casa de Campo (a nice resort) for interested pastors, missionaries, businessmen, educators and others who came for the purpose of better understanding what this DR Vision is all about and how God could use them to get involved.
Here is a short summary, to date, of what all has happened from those weeks:
1. Donations received: $13,500.
2. $100,000 personal loan for a building the church is considering.
3. $3,500 pledge for the shipment of the tractor/container (above).
4. A projected gift of $50,000+ in order to build the first baseball field.
5. The start of a DR Project golf tournament in Houston, Texas.
6. Pledges of money for continued wall construction on property.
7. Bible College and overall development planning.
Team Dominican Republic wishes to send a special thank you to those who sacrificially gave up time to come see what is happening and how to better get involved. You are now visioneers with us!
God is doing marvelous things in the DR Vision and is assembling people, like you, to accomplish His vision. Clearly, this multi-million, multifaceted, strategic approach cannot be accomplished without God's people, Dominican and American, working together for something bigger than ourselves. It is a big vision that will significantly impact the country and beyond.
