Carlos Disla He's found it
Carlito is a 19 year old medical student in San Pedro. His grandmother, Iris, began attending our church almost four years ago and immediately began praying for the salvation of her family. Carlito began attending the church looking for, as he put it, "something more" He, along with four friends from his street, accepted Christ during a conference with Dr. Glenn Mathews. He has been instrumental in bringing young people to church and is now a youth leader. He decided to walk the mile to the university to save the taxi fare for Peru!
In Peru, Carlito will be involved in evangelism, VBS, and youth conference.

Diomaris Canario
Ready to Serve
Diomaris began attending our church thanks to the invitation of another lady. She accepted Christ two years ago and was discipled. Immediately she began working in the youth program discipling young women and has a heart for evangelism as well. She is the human resources director for a tourism company and this job has allowed her to witness to many people on her trips around the country and overseas. Besides the youth ministry, she is also involved in music and team-taught a Personal Evangelism workshop at our Ladies Conference.
In Peru, Diomaris will team teach a women's ministry seminary course with Allison. She will also be involved in evangelism, special music, VBS, and the youth conference. |
Milly Rivera House Call to Peru
Milly graduated from medical school last February and is currently awaiting placement for residency. She has been a part of our church for more than 3 years. She was discipled and began working in the youth group. Her ministries include discipleship of teenage girls, music ministry and part-time church receptionist and baseball ministry secretary. In December of last year she became engaged to the assistant pastor of New Life Baptist church in Santiago. Their wedding is planned for September 27th 2008.

Carolina Rosa Of Goats and Pesos
Carolina was saved at the first service we held in San Pedro in August 2003. She has been discipled and began bringing her family to church. Since then, her mother, three cousins and two aunts have come to know the Lord and have been discipled. Carolina is involved in the music ministry of the church. She is enrolled in the university. To earn the money for her passport Carolina sold a goat!

Marco Uribe Restored Masterpiece
Marco is an artist and has been attending our church for almost four years. He is the perfect example of a restored life in Christ. His art is created by taking a magnifying glass and burning images into wood. Many of his works tell the story of his testimony. He has presented his art work in exhibitions in hotels around the country and to the President of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernandez. He is involved in the music program at the church and is the director of the baseball ministry. Marco also began this year on staff at the church as the Administrator in charge of organizing visitation and discipleship.

Miguel Mercedes A Song in His Heart
Miguel has been a missionary for more than 10 years. He is currently the assistant pastor of the church in San Pedro and the father of the Lifehouse Boys' Home. His ministries include directing the music program and youth. He is also a gifted expositor and teacher of the Word of God.

Juan Castillo
From Lifehouse to Peru
Juan is the oldest boy in our Lifehouse Boys' Home. He is involved in the music ministry of the church and began leading the singing for our Thursday night Prayer Meetings. His interest is in studying music ministry. He is also involved in the baseball ministry of our church.
