ABAG's Common Grant Application Workshop - 2/7/2012

Over 40 Maryland foundations accept ABAG's Common Grant Application format. This workshop will include a brief overview of the current funding challenges and opportunities, a step-by-step review of the grant application process, tips and suggestions for writing competitive proposals, and a copy of ABAG's latest Member Directory.

"Maryland, 8 Other States to Share $500M Race to the Top Grant"

Maryland was one of nine states that won a federal competition Friday for early education funds intended to boost the quality of programs available to young children. The state, which has been seen as a strong proponent of early childhood programs for the past decade, will receive $50 million to help young children become better prepared to enter kindergarten - Baltimore Sun, December 16, 2011

"The Horizon Foundation Announces Pilot Program for Medical Language Translation" 

The Columbia-based [ABAG Member] Horizon Foundation announced a novel language interpretation system intended to help Howard County residents with limited English skills or who are deaf or hard of hearing to communicate with health and medical providers - December 2011
