Chesapeake Bay Trust Community Greening Grants
Application deadline: December 9, 2011
The Chesapeake Bay Trust awards funding to help communities in Maryland implement "greening" plans that increase forest canopy, reduce stormwater runoff, improve air quality, and enhance the quality of life in urban areas. The program awards grants to local governments, non-profits, and neighborhood associations for on-the-ground restoration and other activities that support the implementation of an adopted plan to green communities in Maryland. Parks & People Foundation Greening Grants

Deadline for Letter of Intent: December 22, 2011
The Parks & People Foundation is offering two grant programs for Spring 2012. Partnerships for Parks Grants provide funding for service projects, trail stewardship, playground restoration, tree planting, maintenance activities and events supporting public parks. Neighborhood Greening & Clean Water Grants provide funding for vacant lot improvements, community gardens, schoolyard plantings, tree plantings, water quality improvements and environmental education activities.
