1st Responder Paramedic Fee
Beginning July 15, the Folsom Fire Department will charge a $225 fee to help defray the cost of providing emergency care by highly trained paramedics on fire engine and truck companies. Read More

Young people interested in a law enforcement career have a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience with the Folsom Police Department through a new Explorer program.

Meet Newest Police Horse 
DunbarDunbar is the latest addition to the Police Department's mounted unit. Sergeant Dirk Regan (right) says Dunbar came to the City after suffering abuse at the hands of a previous owner.  Today Dunbar is healthy and is helping patrol officers with community outreach and crowd control. He is approximately 10 years old, and is a bay quarter horse gelding who stands at 16.1 hands tall.
